[DML] Re: Ringing noise in engine

Not sure if this is the same for you, but I had a similar noise when
the shaft of the water pump decided to work it's way inward causing
the impeller to scrape on the back cover of the water pump. The shaft
only goes through a bearing and some seals so there really isn't
anything keeping it in place. Happened on 2 different occasions and 2
different water pumps? -----dani b. #5003
