[DML] Cool fan upgrades

One of my cooling fans has become intermitant and only works when you tap it 
a few times.  I believe it is a problem with the brushes.  I am deciding 
whether to try to fix the brushes,  buy a complete upgraded fan system, or make my 
own.

Is there an easy way to replace the brushes without removing the radiator?

Does anyone have infomation on a do it yourself fan upgrade? Like what fans 
to use.  What size fits?  What the CFM of the originals are?
