Marv, Inside the rubber lines is a hard, tough teflon-like inner hose that is heat shrunk over the barbs of the hose ends. The outer rubber doesn't do much except provide protection for this inner line and make the top of the motor look ugly. A good auto parts store can sometimes fix the hoses you have very economically by replacing the inner hoses. The problem is that in the process they have to partially slit the outer rubber hoses and the finished product usually doesn't look very good. John Hervey's SS braided lines are a very nice product and I recommend them. If you buy his, or someone elses braided lines, just be sure to cover them with clear plastic tubing ANYWHERE they touch ANYTHING. SS braided hoses are like mini-hacksaws as they vibrate against nearby parts and will slice through just about anything eventually. -Joe Kuchan >From: "marv2020" <marv2020@xxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [DML] Fuel Injection Hoses >Date: Fri, 20 Oct 2006 01:26:01 -0000 > >I need to replace my 6 fuel injection hoses, when I wiggle one them >the car actually idles lower, with no knocking.
