It is possible for the accumulator to have failed again. It is also possible the check valve on the fuel pump is bad or the Primary Pressure Regulator is leaky. At this point you cannot assume it is the accumulator, you have to check these other parts too. A lot has to do with if the car was stored for long periods of time during that 7 years and if you have a lot of Ethanol in your gas when you stored it. These parts are not really mileage dependant. Age, the type of fuel and how often the car is used has a large effect on the parts in the fuel system, much more than actual mileage. I replaced the fuel accumulator in '99 which fixed a hot start problem back then.I don't know if or when it was replaced before that. I have only driven the car a couple thousand miles since then. What is the expected life of an accumulator, could it have gone bad again in 7 years? > > Thanks > Steve > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
