James, I think the idea of making a new shift plate wiithout the clock is a better idea. You should call my buddy Paul Wilkins there in Houston and have him make you one out of carbon fiber. This would be a cheap and simply alternative, with a new modern look. For those who don't want the carbon fiber look, you could simply paint or cover the panel with a textured vinyl. A compisite would be easy to mold than a shaped, stamped metal version....I think?
