I modified my side vents because of this problem. If you ever remove your lower door panels you will see how much air goes into the door and not in the vents. What i did was use spray foam to seal all around the door vents, you know the foam in a can. Now all the air blows out my door vents hard, this will make the A/C seem colder because it is now blowing harder on you.
