Hi Alistair,

yes the delay relay/module is one of the glory inventions
of a drunken or at least crazy guy in the early 1980s.
Did you set both interior lights to the on position ?
I had the same effect as you described, but only when
one light was on instead of both.

I have the schematic if you're interested...I can't believe 
one released something like that for series production
in THE car of the 80s...
