Shannon, Last year the paint on my windscreen trims started to peel so I decided to get them powdercoated.I had them done in a matt black finish which matches the rest of the black parts of the car pretty well.It should be more durable than paint. If you do paint them you may as well leave them on the car because to take them off you'll destroy your seals getting to the screws that hold them on.Just make sure you mask up the car well.
