> I personally don't understand what the British government was > whining about after DeLorean went under. IMHO - The Labour Party set up the initial deal/funding. The Conservative Party made it part of their platform to stop the subsidies. When Margaret Thatcher's Conservative Party came into power, they took a hard stance on DeLorean's need for more money and soon closed the doors. <soapbox> It sounds a lot like the US - where one party has to criticize everything done by the other to get elected. Then, if they do get elected, they feel that they have to follow through - regardless of whether they even believed their own campaign rhetoric. That way they can say "I told you so", and keep whining and pointing fingers forever. </soapbox> Gary IN2TIME To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
