I am thinking of reviving a Delorean that has sat for 10 years in a carport without being started. I have no experience in auto restoration, but I have been lurking at this and other sites collecting information about this daunting task. I am going to inspect this car soon, and I am planning to hook up a battery to see if the engine turns over. What is the best way to disconnect the fuel system so that junk isn't sucked out of the tank during this test?
