The cat's are made buy the same company that made the original cat's. Eastern bought their tooling. They are approved in California but the problem is in California the targets I always moving. They are performance because of less restriction. The cat blocks inside are coming from the UK. Upon closer inspection, it seems to state the this particular converter is not legal in California (ODB II compliant in 49 states except California) I also see that DMC houston still sell what I presume are OEM cats. Are these 50 state legal? Why are the special T cats illegal in California? or are they? Wouldn't these cats be made from the very latest technology? or am I totally wrong here? What would be the appropriate direction for a DMC owner in Californa to proceed presuming he/she needs to replace the Cat?
