You may have too much coolant in the car. The overflow bottle should only be half full. Do you have an air bleeder kit hooked up to your waterpump? Also the small top radiator hose on the passenger side may need to be "burped" to let any extra air out. Just loosen the clamp and pull the hose off until the air stops and coolant comes out, warning it will spurt at you, so safety glasses are a must. Warning #2 if you have the original radiator be very careful, the tank sides are made of plastic.
