Since it's such a pain to get to the distributor with everything in the way, you might want to check the condition of the rotor and cap, and the wires as well, and replace them if they look worn. Also, as long as the valve covers are off, check the valve adjustments. I just replaced my water pump (leaky hoses, but I replaced the pump as long as I was there) two weeks ago, so now I'm expecting everything there to last a good long time.
