Nate - Start with a thorough inspection of the car. Check everything from trailing arm bolts to light bulbs. If you don't have a parts manual, check out the DMCH website to see the pictures. Make a list of everything that is missing or doesn't seem quite right. Be critical. Once you have the list complete, start with safety items first like suspension, steering and brakes. Then move to the driveability issues. It's always better to have a car that you know will turn and stop before it goes. Throw in some of the easier and cheaper cosmetic fixes just because it makes you feel better along the way.
