Don't do that! If you run with the bulb like that for any extended period of time it will melt the reflector in the tail light cluster, m'friend. (--Which, I believe, are long since unavailable). You might be able to get away with it if you're using an LED, but otherwise Grady sells boards that are very bright an come with some great bulbs.
