Not exactly. The universal joints are different tools. Wobbly extensions have undercut attachments at the socket end so that the socket wobbles instead of being held steady on the end of the extension. This doesn't give as much range of motion as a universal jointed socket, but is sometimes just enough to get the socket onto the bolt or nut. -- Mike -------------- Original message from "Bernie" <bmanderville@xxxxxxxxxxx>: -------------- > Wobbly socket extentions are also known as universal joints. > > Bernie > [moderator snip] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
