In addition to adjusting the "goal post" you may have to adjust the
engine cover. It can be done by removing the rear trim inside the
passenger commpartment and loosening the 4 nuts that hold the hinges
for the engine cover. It can be moved foward and back. It should not
rub on the rear facia and it should pop up when you pull the release
handle.
