It certainly can't hurt to replace the fuses. They can be cleaned up. The most important thing is to be sure you have the correct size in the right spot. A P.O. could have replaced a fuse with the wrong size (maybe that's all he had) and never got the right size back in. When you buy a used car you really have to be suspicious of EVERYTHING! Look for melted or overheated plastic or connections. The connectors should grip the fuses tightly. Leave the cover off. Things will run cooler.
