I distinctly recall that when I bought my D, after driving it home I was surprised to find that it even **had** power brakes. They are definitely NOT like your average over-assisted-generic-car brakes. They are closer to what I see on BMWs, but still take a bit more effort. (BMW, by the way, uses a Girling master cylinder that bears an amazing resemblance to the one on the DMC, even on cars 20 years newer. The booster is notably bigger, though as are the calipers.) Since that time I've driven many different DeLoreans, and they all feel about the same (except for a couple where between one and three brake calipers didn't work at all!).
