"Single piece" trim panels used in '82 and '83 are actually traditional two piece padded designs with a vacuum formed skin over them. Eventually suffer from same wear & tear as original, though certainly not as fast. James Espey has considered manufacturing true single piece trim panels, but at this time demand is estimated far below tooling costs.
