In future recommend removing console itself. Is really quite easy. Remove shifter plate and rear tray (two screws apiece), A/C panel (1 screw) and 6 nuts holding console. May also have two screws attaching to knee pads (question utility of those since console is only made of cardboard). Pop out window & defroster switches to disconnect electrical connections (do yourself a favor and label for ease of re-install). Same with cigarette lighter. Think you'll be pleasantly surprised at total access now available. Dash ground point is a breeze. Illumination bulbs can be changed from the back. Etc. BTW: dash ground is a bolt, not a stud. Without removing console you can't get to head. Your nut may not be completely tight.
