Dani, The ground problem ( black wire ) or the hot wire problem ( red ) could be any where. It would take a while to go thru and check all them but the first place would be from battery cables to the ground on the frame ( chassis ) and battery cable red ( hot ) to connector on the right rear pontoon in front of the water bottle. Then check the cables going to and from the starter solenoid. They could be just loose or dirty. Run an extra ground wire from the ground post on the battery to the engine block and then to a metal screw or something to the alternator and see what happens. Be sure for safety to unhook the battery when cleaning & moving cables around.
