Jordan, I take a different approach on the injectors since I work with fuel distributors and fuel systems all the time for Deloreans and I will say other exotic cars. I use a chemical called Berrymans B12 that you can buy in almost any auto store or at Wal-Mart. Sometimes it's best to let a sleeping dog lie and by using a chemical that Dissolves the varnish a little faster doesn't hurt. But, If the spray pattern from the nozzle of the injector has over time affixed it's way of spraying and it's not the 360 degree or close, then yes chemical could make it worse. Only because the varnish or something over time has changed the nozzle spray pattern and the cleaner may make it show it's real face. The thing that can't be done is fix the spray pattern of the spray nozzle.. We can only clean the injector filter screen inside and open up passages that may have been stopped up, but the pattern can't be changes. Then it's time for new injectors and I can tell you I haven't talked to anyone that has replaced 20 year old injectors or had them cleaned that didn't see a big difference. Some people in the Porsche groups even go as far as having them balanced and replace injectors with lesser pressure for more fuel. Just a FYI John Hervey
