Todd, I am one of those people who have made money on Deloreans. I bought a fire damaged D a couple months ago and parted her out. Sure, if I was Bill Gates I could have fixed her, but instead I have help put 3 cars in Europe and 2 cars in the US back on the road. And if James is interested in putting 1697 back on the road, I can help with that too. there is a point when a Delorean turns into a parts car. sure, i've made some money selling parts. I've used that money to buy other parts for my car, I've help a lot of people get their cars back on the road (very rewarding), and I've made some pretty good friends while doing it all. On a side note, my dad and I bought our trailer with parts money....the trailer that brought you your Delorean. See, it's even helped you live the dream. Taking a perfectly good, or restorable delorean and parting it out is wrong, in my opinion...but it's just that....my opinion.
