If we want to talk about improved fasteners, I found a place that will makeStainless Steel rivnuts. True, the aluminum does not rust- but to use a stainless steel bolt in the aluminum rivnut will cause problems. (I am doing this anyway, with tons ofnever-seize). The problem is they are about $3.00 each, with a minimum order of 500 (for each size). Frankly, I don't have $4500 laying around to buy 1500 rivnuts when I only need a dozen or so..
