Undo it... wiggle it about, watch how the door hits it, and adjust it into place.... the striker pins are very simple - there is no real procedure. NB mine are in the correct place but still hit the door guide on the END of the pin. The original installation of the door guide suggests grinding down the "channel" in the guide if the pin hits it.
