Sounds like you may have a bad rocker cover gasket. Happens on my car too. The oil will slowly drip down, and burn on the catalytic convertor. Take a paper towel, or an old shop rag and wipe the side of the engine, below the valvetrain. Chances are you'll find oil on the side. This probably won't be a mess on your garage floor, but it can weaken the heat shield on the cat, and hurt lubrication on the engine somewhat.
