Jim - it is perfectly ok to jump the relay, and yes, your injectors will fire. be aware that this will eventually flood the engine, so if your car doesn't start after you do this, sit tight for a few minutes, then floor the gas pedal as you turn the key and hold it down until it starts. that will clear the engine. unless you have some kind of fittings to work with the gauge at the injectors, i don't know how you could do this. There is a bosch injector tester which comes up on ebay now and then.. in fact there might still be one up there, it was up there about 4 days ago, definitely in the past auctions though if it's over. most people just pull their injectors out and put them in seperate baby food jars. then jump the relay and see if they are all pretty much the same. kind of crude, but i guess it works. see the shop manual for specific info on hooking up the pressure tester.
