Fuel Pressure Gauge

Thanks Dave S., David T., and Bruce B for the info
on a gauge.
Your right David, maybe the list could help diagnose
this fuel problem. Well, here goes.
My D has spent the last two months in a shop for some
resurrection. I didn't think it would take much since
I've never had any major problem with it. But, it has
been garaged and hasn't run for over two years. I know,
I bow my head in shame, I should be flogged good master.
Anyhoo, during the time in the shop, the following has
been done:
1. fuel tank removed and cleaned.
2. new fuel pump kit, new pick-up hose, new filter
installed.
3. oil and filter changed.
4. upon test starting, found it would initially fire
right up, last 1, 2, maybe 3 seconds.
repeated this a few times and the results were the
same each time.
(from this I gather the cold start circuit is OK)
Long story - short -- eventually it was determined (I
hesitate to use the term "diagnosed", I think the SWAG
method was used here) to be a bad fuel distributor. This
is too expensive a part to purchase just to "see if".
So, I trailered my D back home until I can regroup my
finances and figure a way to prove what's good and what's
not. To the best of my knowledge a fuel pressure qauge
was never used; and, from what I've been able to ascertain
about this K-Jetronic system, pressures and flow rates can
tell a lot of the story.
So, there it is list. It's going to take me awhile and I
can use all the help/suggestions I can get.
Thanks,

Tucker
