Hi Robert, Lots of answers to this one, hard to know where to start. For one thing, many of the same questions keep coming up with the same answers being given, over and over, no end in sight If the situation as it now exists were adequate, obviously this wouldn't be so, would it. Searching the archives can be very time consuming and the results much less than you would hope. I heartily support Wayne in all that he is attempting. Your same response or question could be applied to the proposed parts manual and service manual...do we really need any more information...of course we do! There's no such thing as too much wisdom. If we stop here and don't attempt any more progress that's rather limiting isn't it. No new ideas, no changes, keep all as it is? I can't agree with that. This is not another list. The concept, simply, is to have all of the information in one place, good answers, easy to find. We don't have it, we need it, let's do it! The archives are getting unwieldy and growing at a rapid pace, what would make sense would be to extract the gems of wisdom, consolidate, edit, offer, (gee, we're looking at the new Tech site) and scratch the rest. Project the rapid growth of the archives and pretty soon you can see half a day spent wading through topics to find one answer. I doubt that anyone will ever try to tidy up the archives and it will get worse. There is a lot of e-mailing and 'phoning to vendors to get answers that should be available in other forms. There are always exceptions but the calls are generally made because the information is just not that easy to find, the 'phone calls are the quickest way. The vendors take up a lot of their time answering questions and they get high praise for it but it would be nice to spare them a high percentage of it by providing the answers to the questions they are being asked. This could go on and on (and probably will) but hopefully you get the idea.
