What I am considering doing is mounting the best speakers that I can fit in
the rear panels and then strapping down a bazooka bass cannon (or whatever
they are called) behind the cargo net. It would be a totally reversible
modification that I can take out for shows or to have more room.

That would give me the best of both worlds maybe.
