What do you mean by "done" in refering to the brake system? Don't worry about the brake light yet. It comes on for only 2 reasons, the parking brake is applied ( or switch out of adjustment) and brake fluid level. There is no proportioning valve or metering valve to warn you that a front or rear system has a failure! The first thing to do is flush thoughly and bleed the entire brake system with Castrol GTLMA dot 4 fluid. If the pedal still drops away and there are no leaks you will need a master clyinder. If the light still comes on then you probably need to adjust the switch on the parking brake or maybe something is preventing it from going all the way down, the carpet or maybe a coin got into the works. On the problem of "running like crap in the rain" the cause is most likely a high voltage breakdown of some part or parts in the secondary ignition circuit, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil. It sounds like the car needs a complete going over from brakes to tune-up. I would try to get the emergency brake "alive" (not dead) again. You must have an automatic because if it isn't it is very unsafe without and to park in gear. With the troubles you are having in your service brakes it is especially dangerous to drive without an emergency (parking) brake. David Teitelbaum vin 10757 --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx, "Nathan E.
