Let me clarify. I assumed you had good fluid or had changed it recently. If so this problem would probably indicate the master cylinder is failing. Call Rob Grady or your parts supplier. I am sure they will tell you it is not uncommon to discover a 20 year old master cylinder MAY be going bad. Especially if you recently changed the fluid. This could show a bad seal which may have been hidden previously by bad or gummed up brake fluid. Gary Gore VIN 3360 << I recently experienced the exact same symptoms. They are not uncommon and usually mean the master cylinder is failing. I would replace it before it gives out completely at the wrong time. I replaced mine with one from PJ Grady. Works fantastic and is adjustable for desired pedal height. Gary Gore Activities Director DeLorean Mid Atlantic VIN 3360 << Hello List, My Girlfriend and I were driving around this weekend looking at houses in several different neighborhoods. After spending a half hour or hour stopping and going, on the brakes off the brakes etc. the brake peddle was starting to get "squishy"...it would almost touch the floor. Before the trip I had a good firm peddle. After waiting for just a couple of minutes the firm peddle would come back, but after some more stop and go it would get squishy again. My first thought is that there may be moisture in the system that is either getting hot or "boiling" causing this condition. Any Thoughts? Thanks, Dennis Lowery Vin. 4797 Oct 81 >>
