I have to respond to this post even though I am new, sorry if I am out of line: I for one donate my time in trying to help others out with their delorean questions and answer (and yes I deal with BIG paying companies such as AOL and other ISP's and paging companies) along with other members on this list. I have even put a website, along with half of other members on this list, to donate time and help (and yes I do and try to answer questions during the course of my working day). Other people like DMCJoe and Rob Grady (the man is like back logged with work too!) ALWAYS take the time to answer questions from people. I wanted to ask D1 if they had a part that no other vendor had in stock and if they did I was going to order it. We all don't have time in our busy schedule, like DMCJoe who travels around making house calls and repairs finds time to answer questions on this very mailing list. Even Rob who works on cars day in and day out, let alone designing great replacement parts for our cars makes the time to talk to us "do-it-yourselfers". That's called taking care of their CUSTOMERS. Even if that person dosen't buy something they asked them about, they are sure to return to that vendor/service provider and purchase something else because they were helpful and didn't turn them away because they didn't give them their VIN numbers or something stupid like that. When I posted that question about what the deal was, it was because I have never met a vendor who acted like that before, I was not putting them down or "bashing" them, I just wanted to know if was ME who was a fault. I for one faithfully buy my parts from Rob and will continue to do so because if I have a question, he is always sure to take the time to answer it or meet with me at his shop to show me. And it isn't sour grapes...just baffling to me. I am a "do-it-yourselfer" and and don't consider anyone else who is a "do-it-yourselfer" on this list to be a free loader just because they ask the Pro's questions on something they love and want to be a part of. Sure it's easy to drop off your car to them and have it repaired, but it's another thing to say with pride that "you did it". I hope this does not become a thread and that it can end here so that we can go on with just plain "question/answer" postings. Thank you. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx, Julie B Johnson <djjohnson6@xxxx> wrote: > I get really tired of all the DeLorean One bashing. Ed is a very busy. . . . .
