I think I understand what you are saying - but it's not sour grapes. I've got a place to deal with that supplies what I want - parts at a fair price, and they are willing to take the time to answer questions. I make a serious effort to buy from the folks that give me the time to answer questions - in fact I'm less likely to even price shop once I've found some place that will help me with a few questions. (Althought I have checked prices with DMC Joe a few times - at some point I'll order from him just because of all the time he spends here answering questions.) (And price shopping and asking a few questions is a quick way to get a feel for how interested a place is in getting your business.) At some point I'll be ordering a windshield and several interior parts (including a dash) from one of those more helpful places. No price shopping. No questions. Just "here's my credit card number and shipping address." Just the kind of bread and butter business every place wants. But I guess you can tell from my earlier post who won't be getting that business . . . but again - no sour grapes here. I've got what I want - and just wanted to warn the new owners what mistake not to make when dealing with him. And yes - I've seen several posts from people that have gotten great work done there. Hopefuly this thread won't continue too much longer - but I did want to address that it wasn't sour grapes . . .
