Pros of painting a DeLo..

Its the whole fascia thing, really.

They rarely seem to be in the right light to complement the car (too dark, 
or too light against the SS). Even the light fascias look terrible on a dark 
day when the D goes that grey-ey blue.

At least paining the car (silver, even) allows you to match the fascias.

I'd like to have my car eventually painted in see-through British Racing 
Green, which is a nice colour but lets the great brush effect show through. 
I don't know how hard it is to do, or how much it is, but it'll be worth it. 
If I remember right there are a few panels lying around with DMC in houston 
or texas now with see-through 'tinted' paint on them.
