Erik, Its pretty straight forward. There are 4 bolts and one c clamp that hold on the cat. Before you remove the cat, soak these with some penetrating oil or WD40 and let it sit overnight. If yours is like all the other DeLoreans, it'll be rusty. I used an impact wrench to get mine off. Then remove the c clamp and wiggle it back and fourth until you get it off. Before you do anything major though, order a gasket from one of the DeLorean suppliers because you won't find it locally. Hope this helps, Duke ----- Original Message ----- From: Erik Geerdink <delorean502@xxxx> To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 21, 2000 1:51 PM Subject: [DML] removal > Hi, > Hopefully I won't start any bad discussions by posting this, but could > someone tell me the procedures of removing the Catalitic Converter? > Please don't post to the DML on how this shouldn't be done, those posts > have pasted thru not to long ago. > Thanks for the help > > Erik > 4512 > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Before posting messages or replies, see the posting policy rules at: > www.dmcnews.com/Admin/rules.html > > To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: > moderator@xxxx > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > -- Easily schedule meetings and events using the group calendar! > -- http://www.egroups.com/cal?listname=dmcnews&m=1 > >
