Steve, The clutch master and slave cylinder seals are prone to failure whenever new clutch fluid replaces old especially of the components have been exposed to atmospheric moisture. I suggest that you change both the master and slave cylinder when you install the new stainless braided clutch line. All this talk about transmissions is perfect timing. I'm in the process of bringing 'ol 2650 back to life and I currently have the engine out. Now would be the perfect time to replace/update any necessary parts in the transmission. (I'm ashamed to admit that upon dissassembly I didn't notice if I have the braided or plastic clutch line, but I know I need the braided one.) I'll also be replacing the clutch. What other things should I inspect/replace while the motor's out. (I've got plenty of experience with motors and auto tranny's, but admittedly not much with manual trans.) > > Thanks in advance, > Steve
