Greg, I recently replaced my angle drive too after it died coming home from a show in Indiana. I ordered a new one from PJ Grady. Rob suggested that I also change out the lower speedo cable as well. He said the new cables are shorter and have less tendency to twist causing speedo failure. I replaced this cable as well and have had nothing but smooth speedo operation since. You might need this new, shorter cable to eliminate that jerking motion you described in your speedo. I believe you lube the cable and angle drive with ordinary lithium grease, but I could be wrong. Perhaps DMC Joe can shed some light on this. Brian VIN 1597
