[DML] Lowering, handling, etc

Stephen Wynne and I were discussing the recent threads about handling and lowering, particualrly comments from Shannon, and offer these comments...
1) Deloreans with cut or adapted springs on either or both ends handle wretchedly. They wallow, push, scrape, sidle, and slide. All of this accompanies the normal choppy ride.
2) Stock Deloreans with decent tires handle at least as well as an Audi TT, which is the subject of a recall because of its habit of turning over. Whatever be the Delorean's shortcomings, they do not include rolling.
3) A Delorean , fitted with the available Delorean Motor Company custom springs and Yokohama AVS Intermediate tires, will run a TT ragged on the track.
4) DMC is having a suspension package developed in England that includes, spring, shock, and roll bar modifications. The engineers assure us, without any evidence of guile, that this treatment, with Yokos, will make the Delorean handle as well as a '98 Lotus Esprit
