David, relax dude... you can cut them out if you
want. The other side to those bolts are located under the battery, and the other
is inside the compartment behind the drivers seat, under the carpet. What Idid
to remove mine was to clamp on a vise-grip onto the other side of the bolt and
remove the nut that way. After they are removed, call PJ Grady and order the
update kit for that. It's a strip of stainless steel with 3 bolts attatchedto
it. It allows easy removal of both dust shields by one person, and no
vise-grips. :o)
