[DML] One last FIx a Flat comment

Well it seems that I had some fans and hit some sore spots with others.  I did not mean in any way to offend anyone with myFix a Flat bash, I just had bad experiences with it all the way around.  Ihad a 1971 Datsun 240Z with aluminum rims, it had Fix a Flat in every tire whenI bought it.  Needless to say, I didn't make any friends down at Sears when I had the still leaking tires fixed.  Four new tires were required and wire wheeling all four rims to make them seal was what it took to get my car back on the road again.

Yes, I have been out in the dark in the middle of the night and had to change a tire.  It was even snowing and I slid into acurb and cut the side wall on the tire of my Pontiac, don't think Fix a Flat will help a 4 inch cut in a side wall.  As far as replacing the spare with Fix a Flat, do what you want, but the spares in all of my vehicles and my D are maintained just like the rest of the car and I have never needed a can of the white goo.

You could get home and save a tow bill if the stuff will seal the hole, but the results of using the stuff are far more painfulthen pulling the spare and cheap jack out and changing a tire on the side of the road.

Just for fun, go to your local tire shop and askthem of their opinion of Fix a Flat and see what kind of answer you get.  Use it if you like it, I'll stick with the reliable spare.
