If that is the case, any 1981 DeLorean that was built and sold before January 1, 1981 in the UK (remember here that the 1981 model began production in December of 1980), AND was registered with the UK DVLA in before January 1, 1981 would, in fact, have been titled and registered as a 1980 model! So then it is entirely possible that there is a DeLorean lurking somewhere in the UK that is (was) titled and registered as a 1980! This is assuming that there were, in fact, DeLoreans sold in the UK before January 1, 1981. Does anyone know if there were any of the DeLoreans built during December of 1980, that were sold in the UK? Were there any DeLoreans actually shipped from the factory to anywhere before January 1, 1981? I know DMC was under a lot of pressure to get the car into showrooms ASAP.
