Since we're on the subject, I'm gonna "me too".
This is probably the one single problem with my D that absolutely makes me nuts. In order to close the passenger door, it must be SLAMMED. Hard. When I have a more petite passenger, I usually need to close the door for them since they can't pull it down hard enough.
The problem lookslike the rear latch, since it will be halfway-latched when the front latch is completely closed. I have tried adjusting the striker pin as far out/up as it will go with no success. The driver's door closes perfectly and easily.
I had DMC Houstonlook at it in December, but once of things he was doing was replacing the door seals and we agreed that the new seals should have some time to seat, but it hasn't gotten any better. However, I get the distinct impression that the door is out of alignment with the body and the realignment procedure involves popping the torsion bars and adjusting every stainless panel on the car!
I'm half-tempted to cut the body (!!?!) so that the striker pin will adjust outward further, but I'm afraid that if I completely remove the pin, it's backing plate will disappear intothe door jamb forever.
I really hate slamming that door.
