I know the speedo cable isn't bad. I
know that the speedometer is turning from the cable. I know that the
angle drive works (until you hook up the speedo cable) I know that the
plastic cap is attached firmly to the spindle. Could someone pleasetell
me what I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Duke,
You have a lower cable running from the angle drive to the
lamba counter. Then another cable goes from it to the speedometer. If they'r
attached properly and not broken and the angle drive is working properly, that
is both the lower speedometer cable and the short cable running through the
spindle to the pastic cap are in tact and turning free, then the problem must
be related to the plastic cap. Sometimes adding a bit of foam tape to the
outside of the plastic cap will assure proper contact between the cap andthe
front wheel to assure nothing is slipping. The square hole in the cap must be
square and not rounded out. It's all physics, if everything is connected and
not broke, it has to work!
