I apologize for asking this without checking the archives...but the search engine was down when I tried to check! With the unbearably hot weather here in TN, I have noticed a problem with my clutch/transmission. When the car is hot and I push and hold down on the clutch for a time interval of around 8 seconds or more, sometimes the car will shake! When this occurs, it becomes difficult to shift out of whatever gear I am in. When I do get it out of gear and into neutral (the clutch pedal is still pressed), the shaking goes away but I cannot get into a gear without terrible grinding. In this situation, if I put the car into neutral, let off of the clutch and then immediately try again...I can get into gear normally and everything works fine. It seems that this problem only occurs after I have driven it for a while. Is this a classic example of the plastic clutch line syndrome? I sure hope so, I can live with replacing that!
