If you still have the original polymer clutch hydraulic line it is possible that the clutch is worn out. As the material in the line fatigues (from use and heat from the nearby coolant lines) it can prevent the clutch from disengaging properly and wear it out prematurely. Assuming you need parts, it is probably a good idea to acquire them from a DeLorean parts supplier. As far as selecting a mechanic goes, I don't think the DeLorean clutch is very different from other clutches. If you have an honest mechanic that you trust just ask him if he can do the job. Otherwise . . . I would be wary about taking my DeLorean to a stranger. While you are at it, I suggest you replace the polymer clutch hydraulic line with a stainless steel one (if this hasn't been done already). It will make a big difference in drivability and clutch longevity. As for checking prices, DMC Houston publishes a price list at their website which you can use for comparison shopping. Prices from the traditional parts houses are not that different from your local auto parts store, and the support is worth having. - Mike Substelny ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: http://www.egroups.com/group/dmcnews http://www.egroups.com - Simplifying group communications
