Dick, I think the confusion here concerns model year. The Volvo B-28F air filter box that I was speaking of would be Volvo 260 GLE 1979-1982. I know this for a fact because I owned a 1980 Volvo 260. For further proof see Engine Bay Layout photo in the Haynes Volvo 260 Auto Repair Manual. Additionally check the pictures in the DeLorean Technical Information manual. Pages 183-187 are actually taken from a Volvo workshop manual. The picture on the bottom of page 184 clearly shows the air cleaner box. Further proof that this is a Volvo illustration is the picture on page 186 2nd from the bottom which indicates the front of car Volvo set up. So there is no confusion here, I'm only referring to the "cap" over the intake and the hose that runs forward. It MAY have been connected to a box containing the filter that was similar or even identical to the DeLorean, but it would have been a seperate unit form the "box" that covers the butterfly.
