Not to challenge someone with you expertise, but
several of us have acquired an air intake unit off a
PRV Volvo at salvage yards and it was VERY different
from that used on the DeLorean.  

So there is no confusion here, I'm only referring to
the "cap" over the intake and the hose that runs
forward.  It MAY have been connected to a box
containing the filter that was similar or even
identical to the DeLorean, but it would have been a
seperate unit form the "box" that covers the
butterfly.
