Yes you need a special tool to remove the plugs. You can grind a socket wrench down, you can buy the tool from Snap-On or from one of the vendors. Dude, do yourself a favor and read the archives. This has been mentioned many, many times over and has all of the needed info you are hungry for - including the part number for the Snap-On tool. Trust me.
